What the are doing with the PS3, they are very much in touch with them (well atleast me). They just should have looked more at the breakdown of wealth of their customers. And the starting price of ther product to be available to the mass market.

they did sale 3.5 mill on one game, they werent that far of LOL

I didn't want to get sucked into this conversation, but here we go. Asking someone to pay $600 dollars for what is essentially a toy is nowhere near in touch with reality. I know when you get your money from your parent $600 doesn't sound like much at all, but that's a huge investment.

And they didn't sell 3.5 million with one game, there were several, many were bought hoping to make a profit, a fair number (not majority more than likely) were bought as a Blue-Ray player, and a lot were bought based on name alone.

Nice accusation that i didnt pay for it myself.

From your post i see your problem is your parnets wont give you the money, or that you cant get it your self ? am i right.

For people who can honestly say that $600 is a fair price for a to, yes, I'm going to assume that they don't make their own money.  $600 or more is fine to pay for something, say, like a TV, furniture (double that even), an actual computer, but $600 is a lot of money and it's hard to reason paying $600 for a console.  Even with my games must equal the price of the console theory I'm still likely never to pay for a $600 console.  About the only way I can see myself paying $600 for a console is perhaps they completely remade FFVI and even that would be pushing it.  This isn't a fanboy statement here or some Sony hate, it's just simply that $600 is a lot of money.

As for can I afford something that is $600?  I could if I felt like saving a short while, but that something better be worth $600.  The PS3, or any console, is not worth $600.
