| Zekkyou said: What's wrong with a GOTY edition? They're just full content versions of the original, intended to entice those who haven't bought it yet. They usually replace the original version. Heck, TLOU:R was essentially a GOTY edition for PS4 owners. It was a good move, too. A lot of PS4 owners never had the chance to play TLOU since they didn't own a PS3. |
Oh come on. This is a bad practice in general, and a lot of companies do this. This is getting pretty excessive too, its only been little over a year after milking this particular title with Season Passes, DLC not on Season Passes, a Remaster, and now a GotY edition. This is too much, irregardless of the game's value in such a short time frame. Might as well never buy a game "new" from Naughty Dog if you're going to expect to get this sort of nonsense in such short order.
If you want to do "Platinum" or "(Insert Company Here) Selects" after years of being on the market, at a discounted price... sure. It brings old games back to attention of people. But this is just greed.
