What's wrong with a GOTY edition? They're just full content versions of the original, intended to entice those who haven't bought it yet. They usually replace the original version.
Heck, TLOU:R was essentially a GOTY edition for PS4 owners. It was a good move, too. A lot of PS4 owners never had the chance to play TLOU since they didn't own a PS3.
