I was being economical with my words because typing on my phone. The order goes: fans hype up game as a saviour of their console, rationalists and haters either laugh or facepalm, haters add the game to the chalkboard. If A causes B and B causes C then A causes C. Therefore fans creating unrealistic expectations for a game causes the game to be added to the chalkboard. In fact nothing ever gets added to the chalkboard unless fans over-hype the potential benefit of the thing. A chalkboard only exists because some fans behave irrationally in the first instance.
