last gen no one cared. i didnt even know the resolution of ONE single game on my console :D

btw i know them now, its mentioned often when current gen talks about resolution appears. forza horizon as example

People did care :p The 360 having better ports was a very frequently discussed topic. There's even a thread somewhere around here of someone listing all the 360 versions that looked better (i'm sure someone has a link to it).

The difference this time round is that the gap is larger and online gaming discussion is more common than back in the peak years of the port wars (the internet is general is really).
