Really? The ship battles were by far my favorite part of the game. Probably spend 75% of the time sailing/battling. Different strokes I guess.. |
For perspective I failed or died in AC1, AC2, AC:B, AC:R less than a dozen times total. The games made perfect sense as to how to play and win (I admit you could argue they were a bit too easy).
AC4:BF I failed the FIRST sailing mission 15 times before calling it quits. I couldn't come to grips with how to control and battle with the ship. Can blame that on me, but naval combat is not why I played AC.
AC3 is the among the worst games I played last generation for being utterly broken. Never on a console (and rarely on a PC) have I played a game with more glitches and issues. I kept "failing" because the game would freeze or have me fall through the world or just not understand I reached a check point. Not a hard game, just a broken mess of one.
So, AC4:BF was at least finished, they just took it a direction that I did not personally "get".
