It isnt $84m dollar basic salary.  The article is wrong too.  His basic salary for the last year was actually less tham $1m.

His pay clearly in the article says 11 + million. Was about to say they should really pay these ceo's on what they are doing as opposed to how big the company is. The escolators and benchmarking is definitly the way to go. If you make it high up in the company obviously you will make a lot of money so its not as if any of these ceos need a big check. They should make them earn that big check.
