Even pick a religious sect in the south of the US for example. Pick two different churches and they will have differing versions of the old testament. It's not exactly a secret either and is something you are tought if you train to become a priest. For the record I do not have faith in the established churches, that doesn't mean I don't have faith in God, nor does it mean I do not love or respect those that are a part of those churches. They just have a very hard job infront of them. I was considering becoming a priest myself in my early 20's. I wanted to follow in the footsteps of my unckle Mark that is currently in Afghanistan helping soldiers. http://www.emeraldislepr.com/clients/posh/news-events/weekly-news-september-6-2011/ http://www.sacredheartusa.org/news-events/weekly-news-february-17-2014/ I am very proud of him and the work he does even tho I do not agree with the church. I'm not the only one tho, The man in this video shows and outlines a lot of the problems I had with it myself, check his other videos they are interesting and informative. Again unlike him I do believe in God, I simply do not believe in the church. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1q3GiTJzfM *Edit also this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFurLHRWo64 As I said tho faith isn't simply believe what you are told, but believing you are given the tools to find real truth for yourself. |
How different are they would be the better question.
