Implementing this controller now would be a colossal failure in my mind. Putting it in now, in my mind, wouldn't result in a high attach rate, which results in no support, and a big waste of money. I think that if they wanted a motion sensing controller, then they should wait until their next console.

However, if they did want to implement it now, then they should pack in a controller with some small scale games like the arcade pack, that uses this new controller and maybe with a points card (maybe 400 points) or a month of gold, and hope it sells.

I agree, MS probably cant get this off the ground at the moment, the backlash from Wii owners and the Media would make it unviable for them, but a form of motion sensetive controller for the Next xbox is a possibility, personally id like to see it next gen for the PS3 and 360, but games should remain as powerfull as they are now and also you should have the option to use it or not, like a comprimise between games that it works with and thoose that it dosent.

I don't think the wii owner backlash would have that big an effect, but the media would certainly roast them alive for switching in the middle of the generation. Assuming the wii "wins" this generation, motion controls would become the new "standard." And no one would really begrudge them for using the winning standard.

And I agree that some games should have an option of using it or not, sort of like how some wii games allow you to use gamecube controllers. The Next XBOX could make use of this BC with the 360 controller, so that they not only offer existing 360 owners a reason to upgrade to the Next XBO, but don't have to do any R&D with 2 new controllers, which would save them money.
