The PSP is a cracking device and I still own mine now and regularly use it. The Vita however, not so good. It had so much potential.
What they should of done with that is made it compatible with digital PS2 releases.
Pretty sure by the time they made the Vita the technology was there to shrink the PS2 into a handheld to make it backward compatible with PS2 titles (digitally) and then perhaps give Vita an enhanced mode (an overclock if you like) to enable to play "better" games like the vita has now.
If they had done that, and not ripped customers off with overpriced memory cards, it wouldn't have been such a one horse race with handhelds.
At the end of the day, if you release a handheld and can already supply a steady stream of high quality content thats already been made (and add trophy support) it wouldnt have failed.
