Funny that you mention BC. Sony has always marketed their handhelds as "the power of a console in your pocket." I understand why they did that, but I always felt they did it the wrong way.
See, I personally would have made the PSP to be a pocket-sized PSOne emulator with a big power boost. Turn in your old PSOne games for a portable version. That would simultaneously turn PSOne piracy into glorified demoing and give developers a ton of tools to work for the new handheld.
