Plot holes in games? (SPOILERS)

Oh okay, I watch Doctor Who but never really got confused really. I googled 'Moffat Loop' and this image came back.

It's much like the LoZ Ocarina of Time, Song of Storm paradox.

When i talk about confusing stuff (and him going too far), i'm referring to episodes like 'The Time of the Doctor'. Moffat tried to tie up a load of loose ends, along with the episode's own story and Matt's departure, into 60 minutes. It ended up being a complete mess. It also left a lot of us very confused about how can any of the stuff in 'The Name of the Doctor'  have happened if he didn't die in the battle of Trenzalore. And if none of that happen, how can TOTD happen? 

There are loads of viable 'wibbly wobbly' explanations for the above, but the episode was already so full that they didn't give any kind of explanation, or even brief reference.

That all said, i did enjoy TOTD. Terrible pacing aside, it was very entertaining.
