I agree. The nostalgia might be affecting some people, but in terms of gameplay RE4 shows its age. The gameplay isn't bad, but it's stiff and feels dated. TLOU is a lot better in terms of shooting, melee and pretty much all aspects of gameplay.
So yeah without taking into account that RE4 released 10 years ago TLOU is easily better. At the time of release both are masterpieces and close in quality. I'd still give the edge to TLOU because I prefer its story however.
