As someone who cares about single-player more than multi-player, this is the most interested I've been in CoD since it was a WW2 franchise.  Kind of amusing that the normal CoD fanbase seems relatively disinterested.

Exactly, which makes me want to try it out even more...  The single player part is very interesting to me as well.
