The high price of the Neutron is due to the exorbitantly high price of some of the components like these NUC Chips; the boards with the chips included are listed at intels Website for 251$ and 336$ respectively. Plus, an SSD is still relatively expensive compared to traditional Hard Drives, mSATA or not; you can count at least 100$ for the 240GB Version and the double for the 480GB Version. Add to this 8GB RAM (+-100$, SODIMMs are a bit more expensive than the DIMMs in desktop PCs), casing, assembly and delivery and you'll be over 500$ at the very least for the smaller model without Windows (add +-100$ for that one). But the early Bird Prices are still way too high; these should be the definitve prices, not early birds.
