Meh, sounds like violence for shock value. And I haven't watched the trailer but if it IS pretty realistically grisly then I question why I would want to desensitize myself by acting it out... For now when I do l kill helpless people in games it's because I can do it in weird funny ways or because it isn't realistic. I don't have fantasies of making it realistic. Maybe it's an interesting experience but I think it comes dangerously close to simple reproduction and condoning of violence.
My version of the dev's explanation for this game "I saw that people were trying to make games more inclusive and mature so I made a game where you fucking kill everything because you hate it because I wanted to go back to the days games were just entertainment."
