I am honestly always shocked again at the poor internet in the US. It is the one of the most advanced countries in the world, yet stuff like that happens.

I live in a marginal EU country on the brink of bankruptcy, but no way would it be acceptable for the internet speed to drop at all. I'd be on the phone instantly, and if my net failed me repeatedly, I'd switch to another provider instantly. Internet is the basis of civilization today, it should be available at all times to everyone.

Yeah. It's all BS. The reason why this shit happens is all the "internet" wires TWC use were installed during the early 80's for Cable TV. Nothing was actually upgraded for 30 years. So Shit fails all the time. ANd intill I move. I can't get FIOS, or any other service that isn't owned my TWC. You should see the cable wire mess behind my building. All of it was strung up on a make shift telepone pole. See that amazing vine. That is my Internet wire going to the switch box.
