If I had to choose one developer, that would be Gory Detail. Chris Seavor still keeps close contact with former Rare employees, some of which I'm sure could be brought over if he ever got the rights to the series.
Why so many seems to think that Nintendo developing Banjo-Kazooie would be a good idea though is beyond me. Nintendo is a Japanese company and Banjo-Kazooie is a British series with a completely different taste in humor. Let Nintendo develop Banjo and you might as well feature an American cast in a sequel to Fawlty Towers. Only way this could work is if Nintendo is the one to bring in the aforementioned ex-Rare employees.
