I think they are serious about winning the gen and getting exclusives.  The majority of those exclusives can and should be grown inhouse.  As a dubious analyst once pointed out, most third party studios and publishers will look at Destiny/Watch_Dogs and look at Titanfall.  They will see the incredible disparity in sales results and they will be more inclined to go multiplat.  And since it is unlikely in the short-term that Sony will be able to pay for lost Xbox One sales, don't expect them to suddenly have an onslaught of third-party exclusives either.  Microsoft and Sony will both be cultivating their first-party studios and exclusives  with certain intensity.
