You're probably right about not comparing it to anything, at least not seriously. In my opinion, relative to the west, comparing a gaming starring Link and Zelda to a game starring Lu Bu and Zhuge Liang is meaningless. It tells us nothing we didn't already know. I'm sure others feel the same about comparing it to any of the Legend of Zelda games.
However, I still find the Zelda comparisons a lot more interesting, partially because I have no clue about the numbers for the less famous titles.
