Microsoft bought Rare because they wanted them to make the next Goldeneye or Banjo Kazooie for Xbox. Instead they ran several of their of their most beloved franchises into the ground and created a bunch of new IPs that ended up DOA. Rare did not give Microsoft the success they wanted nor did they give the fans the games they wanted. And if you don't believe me you can hear it straight from the horse's mouth. |
