They gave up on it mostly. But continue to slightly support it for the PR and hope PS4 sales make it improve slightly.
Hardware sales of the handheld is terrible. Only Japan is keeping it from being a 100% disaster. It also recieved far far far less support than the 3DS in the early days and struggles of 3DS.
