I know Capcom is expecting 3.9 million at the end of March 2015 (shipped + digital). I don't see that happening unless it launches in the West soon. Monster Hunter 4G is completely sold out in Tokyo (and probably all Japan).

Only going off friends who were able to buy. One friend in Hamada, Shimane (I know, tiny area) and another who lives in Tokyo. Both said they were able to get it without any trouble over the weekend. Said some places were sold out, but were able to get a copy without looking too hard.

I'm talking about now. I was busy on Sunday and I couldn't check stores. But I went to 3 different stores on Monday and 7 different ones on Wednesday and both days and all stores were sold out. This stores were in the well-known Districts of Ikebukuro, Shibuya and Shinjuku, main and biggest stores there.

next shipment is planned for tomorrow friday. But Capcom already said shipments and digital sales were over 2 millions on Wednesday. Day without any copy to be seen in stores.
