Google just announced the Nexus Player for $99 (Android TV device that plays games. The hardware is developed by ASUS. Runs Android naturally. Since it's Google. The gamepad accessory is $40). Coming November 3rd.
Nintendo is officially finished in the west. On the portable and home console front. Why buy a 2DS or a Wii U for your kids when you can get a Nexus Player and a gamepad for $140 and buy games for a few bucks, 99c or free to play with micro transactions. The Android ecosystem is huge and now Android has buttons.
