possibly because the average person in china is not as well off as people seem to believe.
People see news about emerging markets, countries wealth, and think oh they must all have money burning holes in their pockets, when the reality is, a small percentage are wealthy and everyone else is bordering on poverty working for atrocious pay to keep the rich, rich.
