There is only one reason. Sony decided to support PS3 in 2013 instead of supporting the PSV. If GoW: Ascension, TLOU, Beyond: Two Souls, Puppeteer, Gran Turismo 6, Ni No Kuni and Rain released on Vita in 2013, people would go nuts about it. There was no point whatsoever in releasing these games on PS3. The system was dying either way, it is already dead now. They knew they had PS4 coming to replace it, so why invest so much into a dying platform? These games weren't bringing in new customers and wouldn't generate future income. On the other hand they would do exactly that on the Vita. They'd cause it to be a must-have platform and move milions of units, which would move milions of games for years to come. Soul Sacrifice, Sly Cooper 4, Killzone: Mercenary and Tearaway isn't enough to fuel sales of a console. 4 games in a full year? Ridiculous.
Stupid Sony killed a console that could be epic and glorious - all in one questionable decision.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
