when i bought the consoles:
2009 wii
2012 3ds
2013 may ps3
2014 september wii U
2009 until 2013 was easy to affort.
may 2013 i signed psn+, and i had lots of things to play, i almost forgot 3ds and wii.
i bought wii U with no games bar NSMBU, i played for a week and kept playing on ps3, except for 1 month that
i spend playing pokemon on 3ds.
at holidays i bought SM3DW, pikmin and zeldaWWHD, and i forgot ps3 and 3ds.
but luckily, i had lots of time in 2014 to play, so i bought/rent/borrow lots of games and i could play zelda SS(70h), TLoU(20h), GTAV(50h), tomb raider(30h), rayman legends(110h), sm3dw(100h), DKCTF(110h), child of light(50h), batman AC(40h), dragons crown(80h), zelda ALBW(30h), kirby 3D(15h), lots of indies, and some more.
I have never played so much like this year. And is still not so easy to afford, i still have much more to play.
