Honestly, of all the games I'm looking forward to in the next year or so (Spore, Fallout 3, Starcraft 2, Little Big Planet, and, to a lesser extent, Mario Kart Wii) I have to say, realistically:
MKWii will be a racing game, period. It'll be fun, and I'll play it the rest of my life, whatever. It won't change the way I look at games.
Little Big Planet will screw around with the way I look at physics and gameplay, and I'll never find enough people to play with, but I'll have fun with it, which is the point of video games
Starcraft 2...oh, Starcraft, I almost flunked out of college because of you...could anything come close? No, so they're making Starcraft 1 with better graphics and updates stuff and it'll be fun, but I bet it won't be as good as the original. I'm crossing my fingers.
Spore...spore could never live up to my expectations, but I will have fun with it, no matter what. Creature editor? I'll be on that thing for hours upon hours
So, of course, that brings us to Fallout 3. Fallout 1&2 were so great due to their humor, their stories, their inside jokes, their perks, their character creator, the dark humor, the gritty scenery...their soul.
I just...just...don't see them hitting the nail on the head for this one, but again, crossing my fingers that they get it right enough where I will take time out of my responsibilities to actually play through it. We'll see
Just my 2 cents
Gods, and try to make the world a better place for your
being in it. If there is no God, you have lost nothing
and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind.
If there is a benevolent God, He will judge you on your
merits and not just on whether or not you believed in Him."
