We're not taking issue with "soon" vs "never".  It's the fact that you think the possibility of PS4 selling 30m units more this year is more likely than "never", as JWein pointed out. 

Personally, I think the PS4 will pass the 3DS as well, but there is still a modicum of a chance that several things could transpire that may prevent that, even if extremely unlikely.  The PS4 selling 30m units more by the end of the year is downright impossible on several levels.
