with how much of a lead those years have given the 3ds it will take a long time, the 3ds hasn't stopped selling and it's still the second best selling platform of the year. If it gained 10 million a year it would take over 3 years, 7.5 a year would take over 4.5.
The gap should shrink more slowly at first and then faster as ps4 sales pick up and 3ds sales continue to decline. I'll predict late 2017/ early 2018
