You are probably correct, Bayonetta 2 is definitely the frontrunner for GOTY, and it will take another extraordinary game to beat it. From all we have seen so far, no such game has already come out.
My hope is for Far Cry 4 (it's not an annual franchise, you are wrong there), but it sure has an uphill battle to fight, and all we've seen are snippets of it so far. Dark Souls 2 also has a great metacritic score, but I feel that in 2014 GOTY should not be a last-gen game.
