I see you had the same vision I did. I was expecting a massive storyline, a magical world rich in fluff. A FPS MMO in a Mass Effect-type world. That makes for some incredibly high expectations, but I was hoping Bungie was one of the few studios capable of pulling it off. Pity they fell short, I just don't know how short :-/
I always considered the best devs to be (no particular order) Blizzard, Naughty Dog, Bungie, Nintendo. Square lost its magic long time ago and fell off that list, sadly. It'd be a pity for Bungie to follow suit, but I won't take them out just yet, not when they've developed so many incredible games all the way back to Myth.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
