Since he's been head of Xbox, he's done nothing but good things. Listening to gamers and giving us what we want. As head of Xbox I have no reason he won't continue in the same fashion. He's even listened to the gamers about parity clause. So all those Indies will likely head to Xbox. He's done a tremendous job. |
I think he definitely deserves a shot. Anything is better than Don Mattrick, who did serious damage to the Xbox brand. I think we'll see the first real results of Phil's work at E3 2015, as it takes time for any projects to bear fruit to a point where you have something to show somebody.
The things he has done, or been a part of, like DisKinect $399, and the talk about removing the anti-indie clause, those have been great starts towards getting things back on track for X1. While I don't think anything can completely overcome the lost inertia and Mattrick screw-ups (which definitely took them from competitive to irrelevant in EU for example), I think continued great moves can get them a tie in the US/UK in the long term.
