when you read a title like that, what is your immediate thought?

i guess to most people it might be that bungie is happy with the sales this game has accumulated in the amount of time since its release. and i understand that perspective, because i guess thats what it's all about.

but to be honest, when i read that title in the news bar today.. my first thought was the reception of it by gamers. i guess thats where my mind is stuck. in the past when the measure of success was building your brand by making great games. it makes me sad to see that bungie really couldnt care less that the reception was way below what you could reasonably want for a game of this calibur. do they even care that most people were underwhelmed by this? or is it really about how many dollars they can make off of it?

i guess its about how much they can make off of it.. thats fine. if thats their bottom line. but i really do think they should be disappointed that the reception of this game wasnt very good. if i were in charge of destiny and poured that many resources into it, yes i would want to make a profit, but damn it would i want people to love the game. i feel like something has been lost, and i hope that they take what people have said about this game, learn from it, and really just try harder next time.
