DriveClub is harshly underrated and gets way to much heat for the server issues. Also funny to see many people judging a game they have not even played (Same goes for people who have not played FH2).

Of course it sucks big time when a game goes live and it has problems like DC does, but that doesn't mean the core game is bad. Also complaining the content is to limited and it’s not an open world is a bit dumb. It was clear DC would be a track racer so why even bother complaining it’s not open world? That’s like complaining God of War is linear.

In fact it's a really good driving game and tons of fun when you get the hang of it. I read people complaining about the penalty system.. you got to be driving like a damn idiot, because the game is pretty forgiving when it comes to car collisions. The AI is a bit aggressive, agreed, but not to a point that it’s ruining anything. It even makes you feel you’re playing against real players, because a lot of people drive like rednecks in driving games.

If you ask me the reviews came to soon, a big part of the game is its only community and racing online… How can you properly review a game when it’s not even live (or in this case stuff is not working). Strangely most MMO’s get reviewed a view weeks after release to see how everything works. It would be fair to review DC again in a month when everything is up and running correctly.

No doubt DC got a lot of ruff edges at the moment, but it has a lot of potential and with the right updates it can truly turn out to be one of the best racers out there. For me it’s one of the most fun racers I played in while, easily a score of 85. And when all problems are fixes and online is as much fun as it’s intended it could very well be a score of 90+!
