Let's take the openning day sales of Destiny as ~5 million (numbers on this site for openning week):

(5*14+1*14)/28 = 3.0

Not hard to get this number to 3.2 by skewing one more day over. This is why averages are dumb.  There could literally be 0 players today and the average would still be in the millions.

To be fair if they says 3.8 million next month... what you will say about the average growing from 3.2m to 3.8m? That means that the population growed, no?

There about 15 guys (16 with me) playing Destiny right now on my friend list... it was way more because most of my frirends are EU users that already go bed
