No your numbers are fine, and your mean and median aren't far removed nor is your sum average far from your average multiple.

But if you take an average that is far removed from the median, you'd get a very large discrepancy between the sum average and the average multiple... as per the scenario presented here. This means you have a left/right bloated data set. You have bunched up data and a stretched tail. (And yes, they likely did do this in excel...)

Like I said, I suspect a deferred but exponential decay. That would be the easiest way to throw the median far from the mean.
