Kerotan said: Not surprised. For a country with 1.3 BN people 70k first week sales isn't going to be noticed. Xbox brand will stay irrelevant there like other places such as Japan but so will Sony to a slightly lesser extent. It's just not their culture and if Sony for example could get more than 3M lifetime PS4 sales they will have done good. |
lol
theire (purchase) culture changed dramatically in the last few year
and still will
wait to see how it turns out. consoles can becoume big in china.
or they wont. both is possible

what's stopped it from becoming big in south korea? the same thing that will stop it in china. Cheaper gaming on PC/mobile that's just as if not more addictive than console gaming.
Japan is heading mobile so i don't see china showing a reverse trend. PS4 will sell the most in chinaand I would be shocked if it had more than 5M lifetime. That is tiny for a country with such a big population.

u cant compare korea and china
they just both asian
are iphones big in korea?
are german cars big in korea?
no! why? they got theire own stuff and brands
why cant u compare korea gaming market to chinese one?
because korean gaming market is an established one. china is a new growing one
yes it CAN be the same. but its not a given that it WILL
thats the diffrence

My prediction is that it won't and PC gaming will remain dominant. That doesn't mean it willor that it's fact but it's my prediction and that ain't changing unless sales say otherwise. Xbox didn't even ell out it's shipment andSonysaid 200k a year which I think will be less than they sell but still. Nothing for the population.
