I find this notion amusing considering alot of people get picky over the latest smart phones not being full definition(Iphone 6) and their pixel density not being up to par. Those screens are tiny and people complain about those details. What is the difference when it comes to gaming consoles and TVs?

Usually, there's only barely a difference between these resolutions when your console of choice cannot achieve 1080p consistently. 

In his case, I don't know. My eyes can usually see the difference. But a good anti aliasing can remedy the gap between both fairly well and give adequate results.
