I don't have these stats but I know that one of CoD had a population ~1 million in each plataform (PS3 and 360) even after months of the release.
Halo 3 had something ~900k on 360 years after release.
And yes the stats are impressives... even more when there are tons of gamers trading it like it was proved in a lot of threads here in VGC 
The average player has played Destiny 20.9 times.
That means that in 30 days the average player played 21 times Destiny... crazy... I'm one of these that only missed four or five days in these 30.
