When PCs were enjoy resolutions of 1024 x 768, you didn't hear people saying that resolution wasn't common because televisions weren't at that resolution. The 4k gaming isn't restricted to companies broadcasting televisions shows on it. 4k can easily become the PC standard long before television broadcasting ever reaches it.

Actually, you did hear people saying it wasn't common because TVs weren't that resolution.  The mainstream market doesn't exist on PC based resolution it exists on TV based resolution.  You can't come out of your niche to see that, and that is fine.  Nothing you said has been taking out of context, you just refuse to leave your bubble.


That's a bold claim to make. Have any sources that leave you to that conclusion?
