Lack of resources? smh, no. No ones asking for a multimillion dollar budget. Dubbing isn't that expensive. A person with no budget could release that game in better quality smh. They can even outsource the game, that's no excuse. People need to stop giving these companies excuses for pathetic acts. The fact is, IF it was dubbed, it would NEVER turn out a disgustingly bad translation like it did. Give as much excuses as you like, I know what I need to know. I'm not ignorant on the topic.

There's also the fact that Japanese and American/English-speaking voice actors are paid differently. Voice acting is a huge thing in Japan and seiyuus get paid through huge contracts and sponsors. In contrast, American voice actors usually get paid in a per hour process. This is the main reason why a lot of localized games don't have both subs and dubs. And yeah, I agree, a dubbed game will never have bad translations since the voice actors will catch those mistakes.

Yup indeed, no argument with that. I was just trying to get the point across that you can say what you want about a dub but you'll never get a half assed product like SAO from a dub.

Good thing I can read a bit of Chinese, so I won't be having that problem in SAO. Muahaha!

I'm actually playing the Chinese version of P4: Golden to brush up on my reading comprehension.
