Studios actually get/miss bonuses if their game score below certain review average. You have things like review embargos or lobbying for better reviews. You have situations where a good or bad review can completely influence how well or poorly a game sells. Reviews are serious business. hence why I insist that they need to be taken much more seriously. |
I agree that they should be taken more seriously, as all of that is quite true. The gaming industry as a whole needs to be taken more seriously inside and out, though.
