Titanfall and horizon 2 prove that good games are praised well by reviews still. 60/70 is still a fairly good game, just not an amazing game. Driveclub would have reviewed the same I think. After playing it yesterday its handling and invisible walls have alot of problems. I've heard some try and compare it to Pgr. It's nowhete near Pgr. Pgrs handling is completely different and isn't littered with false walls where they aren't needed. |
what does destiny prove getting a good few points extra on the xbox metacritic compared to the playstation metacritic? Think it shows it's getting a slightly easier ride.

no not at all. It would be because some of the xbox only reviewers probably rated slightly higher than Sony only reviewers. Meta is just an overall percentage of all reviewers. So a snapshot critic wide of its rough quality across many critic opinions. Nothings changed. And that's it. Theres no bs happening, and no Sony or Microsoft treated harsher crap going on. Last gen sonys games for reviewed well, even if some didn't agree with it. Forza is a series that's consistantly reviewed well. So it was always going to be an upill battle for Sony to beat it in reviews. Turn 10 and playground are top developers with a great review and game record.

why are xbox only reviewers giving the same game higher scores than ps only reviewers? They could be doing it for all the exclusives too. It's bs lke that that makes you wonder about meta.

I would get paranoid over it. Ps4 version has more reviews to it to. As some reviewers only did ps4 version. Meta should of included those same scores in the xbox version to. But haven't. So it would be lower if they were included in xbox. Ps4 was considered lead platform I believe hence reviews done on ps4 version. Happened to 360 last gen. I generally agree with meta so far this gen. Although maybe not killzone. That deserved 80 imo.
