There are certainly none on display in the major shops in the town where I live. The retail space is divided equally between Sony and MS, and that's it. And even now, there are still people here who haven't even heard of a Wii U. It's not physically in our faces, and the advertising has only improved from virtually non-existant to scant. Here, you're more likely to find out about the Wii U if you actively search for it on the internet - assuming you've heard of the damn thing to start with. It's not an excuse. The sales for the UK speaks for itself. I stand by my statement - if Nintendo want to stand out and be different, and still make it work, they need to make sure that developers and consumers alike understand the product. They dropped the ball on that one, and both developers and consumers have turned away as a result. And there are more herds to follow than just MS and Sony, but that's academic - Nintendo is generally not in the business of doing what others do. |
Where are you from?, we are facing a similar problem here, the distributor just plain sucks, Wii U games are 5 U$ more expensive just because. They are nor hyping the product among the comunnity and make a ton of amateur mistakes, they got used to the easy times of the Wii, when any game they brought no matter how bad it was, sold a good amount of units.
