Same here, it can be achieved in different ways for different games, sometimes is created by a polished or novel gameplay, sometimes with a deep and emotional story, sometimes with great music to support it, and other with big worlds to explore.
Technical stuff I don't care as long as they don't block the fun, I don't care about resolution or framerates, simple graphics, or non-existance plot as long as the game is fun and lets me enjoy the experience.
