You're missing the point. I never said every game needs to be 1080p. If all other things are equal, then the resolution on PS4 should be better. Now if ACU has better other features on PS4 then this is excusable but I didn't see them mention that. That extra power has to go SOMEWHERE. The point remains that even COD last year had better res on PS4 with exclusive X1 advertising. |
The one thing I don't get is why you and others expect EVERY game to utilize the PS4's extra power as if AssCreed is a first party game. This isn't directed to you in particular, but it seems so entitled to expect this from every publisher when this rarely happened in the past. Yes the PS4 has more power, but NOT every game will use it; even moreso for games where the PS4 isn't the lead platform. Why is this such a big deal now when it never mattered in the past? Is the (overblown) power difference that big of a deal now more than ever?
Aside from that, Assassin's Creed was likely developed for the XB1 first because of the marketing deal and ported over and like Ka-pi96 said, they likely aimed for 900p from the start. This doesn't look like Microsoft forcing parity.
