Because of the mediocre reviews I wonder if people even bother to try the PS+ version, if they do this game has still the potential to be a great seller, problem is only half of the PS4 owners has PS+ according to Sony and how many are still interested in a demo of an CRITICALLY dissapointing game which is burned all over the internet in previous posts I already explained why this game deserves higher rates. The people who visit many gamesites will surely download the demo, but the masses probably don't bother to download the ps+ version simply because it's a big download and since the reviews are mediocre why would they. Look at how much destiny sold the week after it's release from 5.4 million to barely 500k all platforms, which leads to the conclusion if reviews are bad people don't bother anymore.

The masses, like you call them, don't read reviews.

They will see "Oh cool, the new free games for PS+, with a big racing game !", and download it. It's that easy, because even if it's a big download, it's free. And if you have space on you hard drive, you always download the free PS+ games, except if you already have a lot of games to play.

Like you said, Destiny had bad reviews but sold 5.4 millions, it's good. Driveclub has more or less the same score and is free to try... Why don't try it ?
