Yeah, as a Playstation fan, this point should absolutely be driven home here. This isn't the result of the Parity Clause thing, that Microsoft does. Which I believe only amounts to games having to come out on the platforms at the same time, right (Which can be very tough on indie devs, which is why it's criticized in the industry)? This issue, is actually something that devs are doing voluntarily, which we were tipped off on earlier in the gen.
"One source even suggested that enforcing parity across consoles could become a political issue between platform holders, developers and publishers. They said that it could damage perceptions of a cross platform title, not to mention Xbox One, if the PS4 version shipped with an obviously superior resolution and framerate; better to “castrate” the PS4 version and release near-identical games to avoid ruffling any feathers."
Ubisoft's comments merely reinforce either the myth, or the reality that this is in fact, happening. But, it's certainly not because of the Xbox clause.
