Really depends on how Xbox One and Wii U do this holiday, but PS4 has a chance to take 50% marketshare by the end of the year/before first week of next year.

That's possible but unlikely. I think WiiU+Xb one will be about 18-18.5 million by 1 Jan, and PS4 will be 17 million at most. My guess is that by the time PS4 hits 22-23 million Xb one+Wii U will be about the same. So that's 5-6 million more PS4 sales, which probably takes us to ~July next year.

So you think the Wii U+One and PS4 will each sell six million consoles this holiday season despite the PS4 selling a lot more than the Wii U+One on a regular basis the rest of the year.  PS4 is going to sell more than both other consoles combined.  How much more is the question.  17 million is going to be the minimum.

*edit*

Also.  First year sales for the PS360 were on average half of what the PS4 has been selling or less.  Both of those consoles sold around four million their first holiday after launch.  There's nothing saying that it will sell that much, but going by statistics, I'd say there's a good chance the PS4 sells around eight million this holiday season.

Huh? Xb one+WiiU at the moment is 12.8 million, so between them think they'll sell 5.2-5.7 million for the remainder of the year. PS4 is on 11 million and I think it will do 5.5-6 million for the remainder of the year. That means I think PS4 is likely to outsell Xbone+Wii U, but not by anywhere near enough to actually achieve 50% LTD. However as there is some overlap I think it's possible PS4 will not quite sell as much as Xb one+WiiU. in any case I think it is highly unlikely PS4 will outsell Xb one+Wii U by enough to actually gain 50% LTD.
